Lauren | Co-Founder
I'm Lauren, the co-founder of Bee the Hope and, more importantly, a mom who has walked through the realities of childhood cancer with my own daughter. During her battles, I saw firsthand how overwhelming hospital stays, financial strain, and emotional isolation can be for families. Out of that experience came a calling - to create a space where no family has to fight pediatric cancer alone. Bee the Hope is my way of turning pain into purpose, offering comfort, resources, and community to families who need it most.
Rich | Co-Founder
I'm Rich, I am a father, husband to Lauren, and a service member about to retire from the Air Force after 20 years. Facing Ayla's cancer diagnosis as an Airmen and a father presented two challenges that forced reconciliation with my identity and drove a journey of self relflection. Having the opportunity to be solely responsible for our other three children while Lauren was on the front lines in the hospital was a honor and a unique challenge as I became the "spouse" of the deployed family member. Ayla's journey has created a drive in myself to help others in a way that I never knew could exist before. One of the Air Force's core values is "Service Before Self." I truly saw this principle from many in Ayla's journey and hope to truly live up to that now and in the future by helping families impacted by these diseases.
